A little over a week ago now, my Dad passed away. On the last night before, my brother and I were doing shifts staying by his bedside and keeping up with when he next needed his pain medicine. I sat with headphones and listened to music at random (with one ear free, of course), just trying to keep myself awake and aware. This came on during that shift, and it really dug into me more than any other time I’ve listened to it. He had maybe another…10-11 hours after that. Trying to go back to this now is indescribably hard.

I used to listen to this song when my anxiety was really really bad. It has been years since i listened as my anxiety has gotten better. Yet, I find myself here again. It is getting bad again. I know this song has a different meaning and im sorry that im using it to cope. This song makes me feel loved and that it is worth living and to push through knowing ill be ok.

I was going through the album and it suddenly clicked, this is my husband... I have loved him since I was 14. We've been together 15 years. And been through quite a few fights and challenges as on the surface our way of tackling and viewing the world differs so much (I am 2). However, after listening to this song, it just made me understand him better. It allowed me to delve a bit in his mind and see things from his point of view. Thank you for this. I've been bawling my eyes out for days.
